Anna Avritch (name changed) is one of the rare Jewish women who was born and raised up in Athens, Greece.
Anna says that she loves to read and watch Youtube videos about the history of the Jewish people. She claims that she gets frightened the moment she hears the name Babylon or Babylonia. Anna says that she didn’t believe in evolution before but since she realized that she gets scared after hearing the name ‘Babylonia’ because she got it from her parents who got it from their parents who get it from their parents, she started believing in evolution. Anna’s belief in evolution made her a pantheist from a strict Orthodox Jew. I would say that her observation of the evolution was the beginning of her becoming a pantheist, it took her good 7 months to stop keeping the Sabbath, eating nothing but kosher and last but not the least – going to the Synagogue.
Now, instead of going to the synagogue, Anna spends 3 hours of each weekend watching a movie with her children (παιδικεσ ταινιεσ). She really enjoys watching the movie with her children more than visiting any synagogue and it gives her more peace of mind than visiting any synagogue ever has.
What I am worried about now is that Anna doesn’t turn into a Muslim. She has been showing a keen interest in the religion of Islam lately. She recently wrote a post on her blog that said “Abd al-Muttalib was also an elect of the Allah but Muhammad didn’t mention him because he was Muhammad’s grandfather and Muhammad didn’t want the people to think that Muhammad is over-glorifying his own tribe.”
In another post, Anna wrote that Allah is testing us with making sins more accessible in the modern times and if we can resist the temptation to sin, we can pave our way to Jannat which is also what Allah wants us to achieve more than us ourselves.
