German author is obsessed with gardening, Indian people, culture and history

Daniel Irwin is an author and blogger who has been living in the Munich city, Germany for the past 12 years now. Daniel has always been obsessed with the Indian philosophy, culture and people and he recently completed writing this book on the life of Vikram Sarabhai – the founding father of the Indian Space Research Organization.

In his book, Daniel claims that Vikram Sarabhai’s father – Ambalal Sarabhai didn’t support Mahatma Gandhi financially because he was influenced by his ideology but because he was a Gujarati and that’s sad because Gandhi didn’t deserve the likeness, love and support of the people just because they belonged to the same state that he came from but because Gandhi really had a great cause and was a great leader.

Daniel believes that Vikram Sarabhai is not just the father of the Indian Space Research Organization but he is the father of the modern India as well.

Daniel writes in his book that if Vikram Sarabhai knew that they are using outdated remote sensing technology at ISRO, he would die again out of the sorrow.

Daniel also writes that those who say that Vikram Sarabhai received the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize very early, need to study his contributions, they are literally too many to count.

Daniel writes that Vikram Sarabhai established many educational institutions but none of those is named after any of his family members which shows that he didn’t like any of his family members much, including his parents, wife and children.

Daniel writes that the brilliant Indian scientists all move to other countries and that’s the foremost reason why the ISRO is suffering. Daniel writes that gone are the days when scientists like Vikram Sarabhai and Homi J Bhabha used to live and work in India.

Daniel loves gardening and he trusts none other than hobbygartner when it comes to it.
